What these characters really are
Every style is a set of genuine Unicode characters — mathematical bold, script, fraktur, double-struck and so on — originally added so mathematicians could distinguish a bold vector from an italic scalar. They are not a font, which is why they survive in fields that strip formatting.
It also means they are not letters. Search does not match them, sorting puts them somewhere unexpected, and some systems reject them in usernames.
Accessibility, and why it matters more than it sounds
A screen reader given mathematical bold letters may announce them individually, by their Unicode names, or skip them. A display name in fancy text can be genuinely unreadable to someone using one — which is a real cost for a decorative choice.
A reasonable compromise: fancy text for a one-off post, ordinary letters for your name and anything you want found.
