Which day the week starts on

Monday across most of Europe and under ISO 8601; Sunday in the United States, Canada, Japan and much of Latin America. A calendar with the wrong first day is quietly wrong all month, and people notice without being able to say why.

Both are available, along with week numbers for anyone whose organisation plans by them.

Layout and writing room

A month per page gives real space to write in each day, which is what a wall calendar needs. A year on one page is for planning at a glance and has room for nothing more than a mark.

Landscape gives wider day cells than portrait at the same paper size, which matters more than the paper itself if anything is going to be written by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Can the week start on Monday?

Yes, and on Sunday. Monday is standard across Europe and under ISO 8601; Sunday in the US, Canada and Japan.

Does it include public holidays?

No — they differ by country and region, and a wrong holiday is worse than none. The cells are left clear for you to mark.

Which layout has the most room to write?

A month per page in landscape. A year on one page is for planning at a glance only.
